For this project, I chose the roller coaster over the skate park. This was an amazing experience because I had never really gotton to create something out of junk in my life, and there I was, making a miniature roller coaster out of paper towel rolls, cardboard boxes, and a LOT of tape. It wasn't just me, though. There were 5 other people in my group also. With all of us working together, the end result turned out spectacular. I learned a great deal about Newton's Laws, speed, velocity, and much more. Newton's First Law of Motion states that an object will remain at rest until an unbalanced force is applied to it. This is an example of the marble riding the roller coaster. Someone had to apply force for it to roll down.

Class Response- Sun Video
My topic for the Class Response blog is the Sun Video that we watched. It talked about the layers of the sun, the temperature & more interesting facts. I learned much more than I thought I would. Before we watched the video, I thought I would know all the information they were going to tell us, but I didn't. I think the sun is an essential part of everyone's life. Without the sun, we would not exist. The sun provides warmth and light for us.I find it hard to believe the sun is a star because when I look up at the night sky, I see many stars, but that is at night, which is why I find it odd that the sun, something that you see during the day, is a star.
Some Interesting Facts:
1) The core is 27,000,000 degrees hot.
2) By weight, it is 70% hydrogen, 28% helium, 1.5% carbon, nitrogen, and oxygen, and 0.5% all other elements.

Global Warming
What: Global warming is when the Earth's temperature increases because of fossil fuels and industrial pollutants.
Where: Big cities, factories, and places with air pollution.
When: Now!
Who: Everyone on Earth.
When: Now!
Who: Everyone on Earth.
Some things we can do are:
-Wash clothes in cold water, not hot.-
Try not to use cars much, ride a bike, or walk.
-Plant a tree.
If we do not take action now, the Earth will be in a lot of danger.
Statistics:
-According to NASA, 2005 was the hottest year.
-15-37% amount of plant and animal species could be wiped out by 2050.
-The United States is the number one global warming polluter.
-400,000 square miles of ice has melted from the Artic Sea in the last 30 years.
-In 2030, Glacier National Park will have no more glaciers
left.
This is why global warming should be taken seriously. We are using too many artificial things and it's polluting the Earth in such a way that we will surely all regret someday.
Cloning
Who: poor, helpless little animals.
When: at this time.
What: They are cloning them.
Where: many places around the world.
In my opinion, cloning is the world's most horrible thing to do. This will bring undiscovered diseases and they could turn out to be sick and soon die. Imagine if everyone on earth was cloned. Nothing would be natural or real. Everything would be fake. This time science is taking it too far. I just wish that no one ever found out about cloning because then everything would be normal. What they are turning the world into is just plain horrible, and the worst part is, they are taking it out on helpless animals! For example, Dolly the lamb, made from complete adult DNA, died at age 6 because of lung cancer and crippling arthiritis. Most sheep live up to age 11 or 12. Scientists should stop cloning and leave animals alone. The world can survive without cloning.
